I heard about Tous Les Jour’s burger a while ago and I was really eager to try it. Montreal burger lovers on the internet always mention this joint as a hidden gem. They say burgers are made of fresh beef that’s never been frozen and cooked on a charcoal grill. That’s all it takes for making me hungry.

The place
Steerburger Tous Les Jours was in Mont-Royal long before the Plateau became a cool neighbourhood. At first glance, there’s anything particularly appealing about this greasy spoon. It’s an old school joint. The decor is plain and once you get in, it feels like you’re in a time trip to the 70′s. But don’t be fooled by appearances.
Tous Les Jours’ Prime Burger: juicy and HUGE!
The burger
I ordered the prime burger, which seems to be the most popular choice there. It’s basically a succulent patty in a sesame bun with lettuce, tomatoes, onions, mayonnaise, cheese, and bacon. What else do I need? Maybe just more napkins, because this one was juicy and HUGE.

The taste was fantastic. I found that ingredients went really well together and I got my meat medium rare, as I like it, without even asking for it. The fries turned out to be pretty decent. They were fresh and crispy. But as I went specifically for the burgers, I can’t really say if any other menu items are worth a try.
Service and Price
The lady who got my order was very nice and friendly and my food was served promptly. Prices are really reasonable. I got the Prime Burger special, with fries and pop for $8. For the amount of food you get, it’s a bargain!
